October 2006 - Senator Earll presents a check to Dr. Judy Smith of the Children's Advocacy Center.

The CAC provides services to children in Erie County who have made allegations of sexual or physical abuse, and was created to make the system easier for children to navigate. The CAC fosters enhanced coordination and linkages between all the adult professional systems that come into play when a child is abused. As a former prosecutor, Senator Earll was happy to assist the CAC in its efforts to vastly improve the way such cases are handled.

Senator Earll worked for 3 years to pass a law (Act 88 of 2006) to allow local government units to use reverse auctions when soliciting bids, resulting in tremendous cost savings to taxpayers.
